Luxury car rental FAQ — KL and Klang Valley

19 answers covering the things people ring us about before booking. If yours is not here, call +60 11-1102 0111 — the desk answers it on the spot.

Delivery & coverage

Which areas do you deliver to, and is there a fee?
We cover the whole Klang Valley from our base in SS15, Subang Jaya. Petaling Jaya, Subang Jaya, Bandar Sunway and Shah Alam are closest and cheapest. Mont Kiara, Bangsar, KLCC, Cheras and Ampang sit in the middle. Klang, Rawang, Semenyih, outer Puchong and the airports cost a little more. Longer hires usually absorb the fee entirely. We quote the exact figure when you book, and it does not change afterwards.
How quickly can you get a car to me?
Same-day delivery is often possible if you call early enough and the car you want is free. Realistically, give us two to three hours from confirmation for somewhere close to base, and longer if you are out in Klang or Semenyih during peak traffic. Booking the day before is always smoother. Ring +60 11-1102 0111 or WhatsApp us and we will say straight out what is achievable instead of guessing.
Can you deliver to KLIA or KLIA2?
Yes, to whichever terminal you actually land at. Check your boarding pass, not the airline, since the two terminals are about two kilometres apart. We meet you in the short-term car park, not the arrivals kerb, which gives you room to do the condition walkaround properly. Give us your flight number and we track the arrival. Delays cost you nothing, and waiting time is free.
Can the driver bring the car right to my door?
Usually, but not always. Most condominium guardhouses will not let an unregistered car past the boom gate, so we hand over at the guardhouse or visitor bay unless you have pre-registered the delivery with your management office. Hotel driveways in KLCC and Bukit Bintang allow only a couple of minutes. In tight spots like Telawi or the SS15 shophouses we will suggest a nearby car park and message you the exact bay.

Booking & documents

What is the minimum age, and how long must I have held a licence?
Drivers must be at least 23 years old and must have held a full driving licence for a minimum of one year. Both apply to anyone who will actually drive the car, not just the person paying. We check the physical licence at handover, so bring it with you. If you want a second driver added, tell us in advance and they need to meet the same conditions and be present with their licence at delivery.
Can I drive on a foreign licence? Do I need an International Driving Permit?
A valid foreign licence in English or Malay is accepted for short visits. If your licence is in any other script or language, bring an International Driving Permit alongside it, not instead of it. We need to see both physical documents plus your passport at handover. Photos on a phone are not enough. Long-stay residents should be converting to a Malaysian licence, and we can advise on where that stands for your hire.
What do I need to have with me at delivery?
Your physical driving licence, your passport or MyKad, and the card you are paying with. If you are a visitor whose licence is not in English or Malay, add the International Driving Permit. That is genuinely all. Missing documents are the most common reason a handover stalls, so have them out of your bag before you come down, not digging through a suitcase in a car park.
Can I extend the rental once I already have the car?
Yes, and the earlier you tell us the better. A few days of notice and the car is almost certainly yours to keep. The same request on the final afternoon depends entirely on whether somebody else has booked it. On monthly hires, flag a possible overrun mid-month. Availability across the Klang Valley genuinely tightens around Raya, Chinese New Year and the December school holidays, so plan around those.

Payment & deposit

What is the deposit and when do I get it back?
The deposit is a refundable security hold against damage, fuel shortfall and traffic compounds. It is not an additional charge. The amount depends on the car and the length of hire, and we tell you up front. It is released after the car comes back and the condition check matches the delivery photos. Compounds can take weeks to reach us as registered owner, so a small portion may be held briefly longer.
How can I pay?
We accept bank transfer, including instant transfer and DuitNow, plus the usual e-wallets and cash. Card payment can be arranged, and the deposit is normally held on a card where one is available. On monthly hires we bill month by month instead of taking the whole term up front, which keeps the amount of your money sitting with us sensible. Ask when you book and we will confirm what suits.
How does the fuel policy work?
Like for like. The car arrives at a recorded fuel level and should come back at the same level. The gauge is photographed at delivery and at collection, so there is no ambiguity. If it comes back short we deduct the difference from the deposit at pump price plus a small handling charge, which is always more expensive than filling it yourself. Note whether your car takes RON95 or RON97 at handover.
Are there mileage limits?
Every car includes 130 kilometres a day, 910 a week or 4,000 a month, with a per-kilometre rate beyond it. Tell us your realistic distance up front, because a daily Subang Jaya to KLCC commute comfortably passes 4,000 kilometres a month on its own. Agreeing a higher allowance at the start costs far less than settling excess kilometres at the end.
What insurance is included, and what is the excess?
Every car is covered by comprehensive insurance with the road tax valid. As with any policy there is an excess, meaning a fixed first portion of any claim that falls to the driver. We tell you the excess figure for your specific car before you book, and it is written into the agreement, not hidden. A reduced-excess option can be arranged on request. Cover assumes an authorised driver and lawful use.

Driving & the car

What happens if the car breaks down?
Call us first, on +60 11-1102 0111. Do not authorise repairs at a workshop and expect reimbursement. If it is something simple we will talk you through it. If it is not, we arrange recovery and, where the fault is with the car, bring you a like-for-like replacement at your location. Mechanical failure is our problem. A flat tyre from a kerb strike or fuel put in the wrong tank is a different conversation.
Does the car come with a Touch 'n Go card for tolls?
Yes. Each car goes out with a Touch 'n Go card in the holder carrying a working balance, and the driver will tell you at handover whether the car also has an RFID tag and which lane to use. Every toll plaza in Malaysia is cashless, so keep it topped up at any petrol station, 7-Eleven or station kiosk. If you are unsure about RFID, stay in the plain Touch 'n Go lanes.
Who pays parking fines and traffic compounds?
Because the car is registered to us, the notice comes to us. We forward you the details, including where and when, and settle it from the deposit if it falls inside your rental period. Camera-based summonses can take weeks to arrive, which is why part of the deposit may be held a little longer. Most compounds carry an early-settlement discount, so tell us about any windscreen ticket straight away.
Can I take the car to Singapore or Thailand?
Not without written agreement in advance, and cross-border trips are generally not permitted. Insurance cover, breakdown recovery and border documentation all change the moment the car leaves Malaysia, and taking it across without our consent voids the agreement. Travel elsewhere within Peninsular Malaysia is fine. If you genuinely need a border crossing, raise it before you book, not at the handover, and we will tell you where we stand.
Is smoking allowed, and will I be charged for cleaning?
All our cars are strictly non-smoking, vaping included. Smoke embeds in the upholstery and headlining and takes the car off the road for a deep clean, so there is a cleaning charge if we find evidence of it. Normal use is expected and normal dirt is fine. Charges only apply to real work: heavy sand, spilled food, pet hair or anything requiring more than a routine valet. Take your rubbish out and you will not hear from us.
Is there any grace period on a late return?
A short overrun of up to about an hour is generally fine if you message us, because the driver has to get to you anyway. Beyond that we usually charge a part-day, and past a few hours a full extra day, particularly if the car is booked out to somebody else that evening. A quick message costs nothing and almost always sorts it. Silence is what turns a small delay into a charge.
