How a replacement booking works
Ring us and say it is a repair job. We will ask what happened, roughly how long the workshop has quoted, and where you are. If the workshop has not given you a firm date — which is common while parts are on order — we set the booking up open-ended and bill by the day or the week instead of forcing you to guess.
Send your licence and MyKad, or passport and foreign licence, by message. We check them before delivery. If the car is going to the workshop and not your home, tell us the shop name and the time you are dropping yours off, and we will have ours there so the two handovers happen in the same visit.
Delivery and collection are free across the KL core and a flat fee further out. That includes panel shops in Sungai Besi, Puchong, Kepong and Shah Alam, or anywhere else your insurer has sent you.
What it costs
The Honda Civic RS at RM500 a day is the usual replacement car and the cheapest on the fleet. It seats five, parks anywhere, and uses roughly 6 to 7 litres per 100 km, which matters when you are already out of pocket over a repair. The Mercedes-Benz A200 at RM799 and the Audi A5 at RM800 are the next steps up.
For anything beyond a week or two, ask about the weekly and monthly rates. A month at RM10,000 on a C300 or RM12,000 on a Golf GTI works out far below the daily rate, and long panel-shop jobs frequently run past the month mark once parts are involved.
If your insurer is paying a fixed daily allowance towards a replacement vehicle, tell us the figure. We will set out exactly what it covers on our fleet and what the gap would be, instead of quoting you into something you will have to top up more than you expected.
Insurance claims and what we can and cannot do
We are a rental company, not a claims agent. We can provide a proper tax invoice showing the car, the dates and the daily rate, which is what most Malaysian insurers ask for when reimbursing a replacement vehicle. We cannot bill your insurer directly and we cannot influence how your claim is assessed.
Whether a replacement vehicle is reimbursable at all depends on your policy and on fault. Many Malaysian comprehensive policies include a limited compensation for assessed repair time, often a fixed daily sum for a capped number of days. Check yours before assuming — some clients discover after three weeks that the allowance ran to seven days.
If the other party is at fault, replacement vehicle costs are sometimes recoverable from their insurer. That is between you, your agent and them. We will supply whatever documentation you need for the file, promptly and without charge.
Extending, swapping and handing back
Panel shop dates slip. Parts come from overseas, assessors reschedule, and a two-week job becomes six. Tell us as soon as you know and we roll the booking forward at the same rate if the car is still free. If it has been promised to someone else, we will move you to the nearest equivalent instead of leaving you stranded.
You can also change cars mid-rental. If you started in a Civic RS and then need something larger for a family trip while your own car is still in for repair, we will swap it and adjust the rate for the days involved.
When your car is ready, tell us the day. We collect ours from the workshop, from your home or from your office, inspect it, and release the deposit once the check is done — usually same or next working day, with the bank transfer landing a day after that.
The practical details while you have it
Return it at the same fuel level. There is a Touch 'n Go card in the windscreen; reload it yourself or let us settle the usage against the deposit at the end, whichever you prefer, decided at handover.
Every car includes 130 kilometres a day, 910 a week or 4,000 a month. A daily commute from Puchong to KL Sentral and back will use more than a car that sits in the car park all week, so if that is you, tell us up front and we will raise the allowance for a set figure rather than leave you to settle excess kilometres at the end.
Questions about this service
Can you bill my insurance company directly for the replacement car?
No — we invoice you and supply a proper tax invoice showing the car, the dates and the rate, which is what Malaysian insurers normally require for reimbursement. Whether a replacement vehicle is covered, and for how many days, depends on your policy and on fault. Check with your agent before the repair starts.
What if the workshop cannot tell me when my car will be ready?
That is the usual situation while parts are on order, so we set replacement bookings up open-ended and bill by the day or the week. Tell us when you get a date and we adjust. If the job runs past a month, ask us to move you onto a monthly rate, which is substantially cheaper.
Can you deliver the replacement car to the panel shop?
Yes, and it is the arrangement most people choose. Tell us the workshop name and the time you are dropping your car off, and ours will be there so you hand over one set of keys and take another. Delivery and later collection are free across the KL core and a flat published fee further out.
